Resort Manager

We are looking for experienced individuals who have previously worked in ski resorts at managerial / supervisory level, who would like to bring their skills, personality and ideas to our rapidly expanding, dynamic company.

Along with the prerequisite qualities required; (Organised, motivated, excellent communications, languages, customer focused, flexible / adaptable, hard working, computer literate) We are looking for innovators who think outside the box, who are looking for recognition and reward outside the normal constraints of the traditional restrictive tour operators.

As a Directski.com ski overseas manager you will be responsible for the complete smooth running of the Overseas Resort. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Representative training
  • Resort setup - close down
  • Transfer Logistics
  • Overseeing airport operation
  • Ensuring team morale / discipline
  • Setting up an interesting and varied après ski program
  • Organising and supervising schedules and rotas
  • Liquating sales and ensuring all cash handling is in order
  • Resolving in resort complaints
  • Setting and maintaining targets
  • Ensuring all paper work is delivered to Head Office on timely basis

Resort Rep/Guide

If you are an outgoing individual who likes to have fun, are enthusiastic with a passion for the slopes and at the same time is customer focused and dedicated, then we would love to hear from you. We are looking for bright, cheery, diplomatic individuals who are not afraid of hard work and who embody the company's fun-loving characteristics to fill positions for the 08/09 winter season.

Resort representatives responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Airport duties
  • Accompanying airport transfers
  • Conducting interesting and varied welcome meetings
  • Daily hotel visits
  • Setting up and operating après ski program
  • Selling in- resort activities and ski packs to guests
  • Reaching sales targets
  • Guiding après ski events
  • Liaising with suppliers and hoteliers on a daily basis
  • Liaising with our marketing department and dealing with press trips
  • Reporting to head office and resort management on a regular basis
  • Completing paper work on a timely basis
  • Ensuring the resort operation runs smoothly and efficiently

Preferably all candidates will have previous ski repping experience, should speak at least one foreign language, hold a drivers license, have good PC skills, and above all be able to work on their own initiative. You'll need to be physically fit, able to ski to a decent level and ideally hold a skiing qualification.

While experience is a distinct advantage, it is not essential. In essence, If you are a people person, with a passion for the mountains and a good work ethic, then you are the type of person we are looking for.

Web/Graphic Designer

Profile: Directski.com seeks an experienced Web/Graphic Designer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the future development of our international web presence. You will have excellent knowledge of the tools of your trade matched with an enthusiasm and flair for successful online design.

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Director

Location: Dublin 15

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and evolve the visual aspects of Directski.com's award-winning web sites.
  • Create email newsletters and online promotional campaigns.
  • Create print-ready artwork to include stationery, advertising and promotional material.
  • Manage and refine the company's image and video library.

Experience, Qualifications & Person: A minimum of 2 years design experience with skills that include:

  • Strong creative skills matched with a desire to produce outstanding design as demonstrated through a varied portfolio
  • An understanding of the latest internet trends and their role in a commercial online environment
  • Proven competence in Flash and other design and image processing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Web Accessibility & User Interface Design
  • Standards-based HTML & CSS
  • SEO best practice desirable
  • JavaScript/AJAX desirable

Salary: €30-50k depending on experience
