Borovets first began receiving skiers at the end of the 19th century but has really enjoyed seen a spurt in popularity over the past few years. Skiing in Borovets is best suited to intermediates and 'rusty' experts, with plenty of challenging red runs on offer. In recent years the resort has enjoyed large investment to try and bring it up to speed with other European resorts. The spin-off from this is that you now have a lively spot with a decent selection of hotels, bars and restaurants.
