Ski Holidays Lillehammer, Norway
Norway

Known as a "Scandinavian Treasure" since they hosted the Winter Olympics in 1994, the resorts of Lillehammer and Hafjell enjoy an incredible stability in weather and excellent snow conditions that ensures a long ski season from the middle of November to the end of April. The main ski area is in Hafjell where many of the Olympic events took place but you will also find plenty of cross-country terrain around and near Lillehammer. Hafjell is a highly ranked resort thanks to its near perfect runs, its close vicinity to the bob and luge track and the swinging nightlife of Lillehammer.
The Snow
The main ski area is in Hafjell where many of the Olympic events took place. You can test your levels on the downhill course and there is a great range of runs for both beginners and intermediates. For the average skier with medium ski ability the conditions are great. Both cross-country skiers and snowboarders are also met with extremely good conditions, yet another reason to visit the resort. Lillehammer is excellent for families and beginners with plenty of activities for non-skiers. There is a huge variety of activities try out from the Olympic Bobsleigh and luge track, dogsledding, night skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides, to ice-skating, tobogganing and much more.
Après ski
There is a lot to do in Lillehammer after the sun goes down with a wide range of traditional lively pubs to international discos like the Brenneriet, one of Norways largest nightclubs. A wide choice of cafes and restaurants are at your disposal in this cosmopolitan city, including the superb rooftop bar at the Mølla with amazing panoramic views of Lillehammer. Most of the best restaurants are to be found along the Storgata main street, which is also great for shopping.
