Stowe is one of the most aesthetically pleasing of all the American ski resorts. With a nod to its New England Heritage, the town features tiny clapboard shops and restaurants along with trendy designer shops. With the slopes of Mount Mansfield 15 minutes away (six miles) a car is recommended for flexibility and excursions further a field.
