Tignes 1800, also known as Les Boisses, is a charming high-altitude village in the renowned Tignes ski resort. Sitting at 1,800 metres, it offers a quieter and more traditional atmosphere than some of Tignes’ larger villages, while still providing excellent access to the extensive Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area.
Skiers and snowboarders can explore around 300km of pistes across the wider ski area, with terrain suitable for all abilities. Beginners can build their confidence on gentler slopes, while intermediate and advanced skiers have an impressive choice of long runs, challenging pistes and high-altitude terrain. Tignes is particularly well known for its reliable snow conditions and long ski season.
Tignes 1800 is a great choice for families and groups looking for convenient access to the slopes in more relaxed surroundings. The village has a selection of accommodation, restaurants and useful amenities, while the livelier centres of Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret can be reached using the resort transport network.
With excellent skiing, spectacular mountain scenery and easy access to one of France’s most celebrated ski areas, Tignes 1800 combines the benefits of a world-class ski destination with the welcoming feel of a smaller Alpine village.
